Additionally, I've never played in multiplayer mode (therefore it can't have any connection to P2P or servers and whatnot) - if the iw4sp is infected, it had to come straight from Steam's servers. I find it hard to believe that MW2 has malware in it considering it didn't infect my C drive after two executions. I haven't done an individual scan of the external drive yet. That being said, my computer's internal SDD is clean according to Symantec. It seems it's common for antiviruses to freak out at Steam games, but I can't be sure that's the case here. I've been reading some forums about this but I still don't know what to make of it.Īfter my second boot of MW2, Symantec Endpoint Protection logged it as a potential Trojan (LOGGED, but nothing else) and it even said in the details that there was significant evidence it was safe.
